The second High-level Session of the Open Consultative Platform (OCP-HL-2) will be held on 26 and 27 May as an online event (Two-day online; 1.5-hour per day). The session will discuss progress in thematic areas identified as “grand challenges” at the High-Level Round Table (OCP-HL-1).
The OCP-HL-1 held during the 18th World Meteorological Congress (June 2019, Geneva) gathered more than forty panelists, executive officials, scientists and experts from partner organizations, National Meteorological and Hydrological Services, industry, academia and learned societies. The session produced a Joint Statement as a blueprint for multi-sector collaborative actions to stimulate progress across the enterprise. In the context of OCP, the WMO assumed the role of a convener and facilitator to enable sustainable dialogue between the sectors at appropriate levels with due respect to the mandates of institutions and interests of stakeholders.
Information on registration for participants and a detailed programme will follow soon.
